What are Facial Injectables?
Facial wrinkles and lines can be reduced with cosmetic injections into the skin. The two main types of injectable substances used are botulinum toxin type A which relaxes the facial muscles that cause the lines and dermal fillers which plump out the wrinkles.
One of the reasons facial injectables have become so popular is that they tend to be quicker and more affordable than some of the more extensive cosmetic procedures which sometimes involve surgery and/or longer recover periods.

Dr Jennifer Do has had extensive training by the Australian Association of Dento-Facial Aesthetics, because she wants to offer her patients a complete dental aesthetic result that the patients would love. Apart from being able to provide a really beautiful smile of nice white teeth, we can also frame the teeth with beautiful lips and help to remove or decrease facial lines to help maintain a youthful healthy smile and expression.
The injectable is used to relax muscles. Dentists are able to use this reliable medication in the treatment of any health or aesthetic problem a patient may be experiencing across the facial and neck areas.
Botox infections relax the muscles under the surface and help to fade the hyperdynamic lines in the skin caused by muscles that are not fully relaxed. These hyperdynamic lines tend to deteriorate the skin, appear to age the person and certainly decrease their self-esteem.
Traditionally lines appearing on the forehead, between the eyes (frown lines) around the eyes (crow's feet) and "bunny lines" across the bridge of the nose are the most common areas to be treated for aesthetic reasons. But new uses for this remarkable medication have expanded to include other uses that are vitally important to Dentists.
The treatment of headaches or facial pain through treatment of Temporomandibular disorders (TM❑). Tooth grinding (or Bruxism). Gummy smiles where too much gum is shown when smiling or indeed where one side of the lip does not rise as much as the other side, giving a lop-sided smile. These problems are easily solved with a less invasive method like facial injectables.
